This place has been amazing! My son started back in February 2017. He didn’t talk at all. Today he is speaking in sentences and is just Mr. Social in school because he can converse with his classmates which is huge for him. Every speech therapist and occupational therapist here seriously know what they are doing. Everyone here, including non-therapists are super sweet and always helpful. The therapists here listened to our concerns and have been so supportive with the needs of our son along the way where other were not. We will miss everyone here. As a mother with a child with speech delays, occupational needs and food concerns I highly recommend this amazing place to others with special needs or any speech delay. Thank you CDCCS for being a big part in why our 6 yr. old can final talk now! ♥

Dear Mrs. Tami,
Thank you for all your love and support all these years. You have watched me grow up since I was eight months old. You have seen me go through my rebellious elementary school phase where I refused to wear Kinesio Tape and would complain about doing my home exercises. I would not have the same independence I have today if it weren’t for all your help and problem solving. For example, we used to practice carrying a plate in one hand and a glass filled with water in the other. You always went above and beyond your job description, from going with my mom and I to neurology appointments in Denver , to buying me a thirteenth birthday gift, to putting together a care package filled with goodies right before I had right foot surgery.
I always enjoyed my therapy session, telling you all about my friends and school projects. I liked bringing them in to show you. I had fun every time your girls babysat me too. We would bake cookies, do art projects, and play board games. I enjoyed, and still do hearing about how your kids, (who are all grown up now) and family are doing. I’m glad we are still connected after all these years. It’s rare to find such a loving and caring occupational therapist who treats you like family.

Dear Mrs. Banba,
Thank you for all your guidance. You have seen me grow up since I was eight months old. You never told me I wasn’t capable of doing something. I would not be able to run, bike, ski, or snowboard if it weren’t for your dedication and innovative ideas. I remember we would walk with poles to practice making my gait even. You always tried to make bracing “fun” by letting me pick out funky colors for the straps. Even my Winnie the Pooh got a special handmade brace to match me. You were patient with me when I went through my rebellious elementary school phase and insisted upon wearing flip flops which made my toes bleed and gave me blisters. I am so thankful for you always being so caring and going above your job title. I remember you going with my mom and I to Gate Lab in Denver (so I would feel more comfortable), buying me a thirteenth birthday gift, and putting together a care package with all my favorite things, right before my right foot surgery.
It is so special to me that I got such a loving and caring physical therapist for 14 years. I got to watch your girl grow up too. I always looked forward to my sessions and was always eager to tell you about my school day and friends. I’m pretty sure you knew all my gossip. I’m grateful we still keep in touch.

Dear Mr. Geoff,
I really enjoyed my 14 years at the Child Development Center. I always looked forward to going. All of you are so friendly from the reception staff to all of the therapists. The Child Development Center was always so helpful and understanding. Thank you!

E*** recently started dance classes this past year and she is loving them! I have noticed that after years of her being in OT and PT for her brachial plexus birth injury of her right arm (nerve damage) she has learned the proper forms to hold herself, particularly her core, which will prevent many of the common injuries associated with dance. She actually has more strength than most of her peers, even the older ones, because she has been conditioned so well by her therapists at the CDC. We have been so pleased with her care here and will continue to bring her here until she ages out. We are a military family and E*** has been seen by multiple OT and PT’s before and those working here at CDC are the best.

Since my son started receiving CranioSacral therapy, with Banba, we have seen progress in many areas. He is more vocal and more engaging. (Several of his teachers and therapists have also noted these changes.)
He is more open to playing with toys instead of just electronics, i.e. trucks, blocks and misc. “learning activities”. He is more cheerful and we are having more consistency with his bowels (which is a terrific by-product)! I can’t wait to see future developmental and physical progress!
********************************************************************
Dear Banba,
Just wanted to send you a quick thank you for all your help with R***. I will forever be grateful for your advocacy and your confidence in R***. You provided me reassurance and stability in one of the most vulnerable times of my life and for that I will be forever grateful! You have also encouraged me to approach my own practice of medicine with more empathy and appreciation of the patient’s vunerable moments.
With Much Love,
S***** A****** (R**’s mom)

Our experience with this place was truly amazing. From the people at the front desk and the therapist everyone was so helpful and kind. My daughter has improved in a phenomenal way and we are very grateful for everything. I want to say how amazing her therapist is (was). My daughter is very shy and has a hard time trusting people. But since our first meeting she felt so comfortable because of her friendly personality. She is beyond amazing in what she does.
Thank you!

Our son has received CranioSacral therapy with Banba to address his head shape and an a-symmetry of the face. We could not be happier with the results from session one. I saw visible improvements every time he had a session. He also seemed to enjoy his sessions and we really appreciated Banba’s caring demeanor. I couldn’t recommend it more to other families dealing with head shape challenges in their babies.

Karen was a great help for B** in working through some sensory issues and we still use many techniques to this day!

Dear Tami,
Thank you for being the best therapist ever and making therapy extra fun! Hope you’re having a great summer! Love P
********************************************************************
It has been great having J****** here for the past 3 years. She has grown and learned so much and has progressed beyond my expectations. Thank you to all who have been involved with her therapies and those behind the scenes. We will miss visiting you all.
********************************************************************
We have had a great experience at CDC. S** enjoyed his time with Miss Rachel and she was highly capable and patient with him. He made big strides working with her weekly and his speech has improved immensely. We would recommend CDC and Rachel to anyone needed speech therapy.
********************************************************************
CDC has been such an important part of our lives. C****** has been coming here for 8 years and worked with speech, occupational and physical therapy. He has learned how to walk independently, walk up and down stairs, and throw a ball. Most importantly he has gained self-confidence and learned to be comfortable in his own skin. The staff at CDC is more than just a place where therapy occurs, they have become family. We are blessed to have met everyone here and are so grateful for the friendships we have built. The care provided has been exceptional and we have been honored to be a part of such an amazing team.
********************************************************************
It unfortunately took a while for us to get E*****here due to insurance issues, but even with that you all tried to work with us as much as you could. Once she started I was impressed with how well they worked with her. They were so gentle and patient and very informative, always giving us instructions so we could help her at home too. Thank you so much for everything all of you have done!
AMAZING!!!
********************************************************************
When L***** first started I was concerned how well this would work. Instantly we say a drastic improvement, Landon responded amazingly well! He has loved every minute he has been here. He is always so excited to come in. It’s so nice to see him grow, learn, and expand the way he has. Thank you to all the amazing and wonderful ladies he has worked with! He wouldn’t be the same without all of you!!!
********************************************************************
I have nothing but great things to say about C***’s time in PT with Ashley. She is great with C*** and seems to keep him going when there are time he doesn’t feel like participating. IT has been a great experience for C*** & I both.
********************************************************************
I am greatly pleased with all the OT and Speech therapists that have worked with him throughout our time here. He has made tremendous progress that not only I have noticed, but his teachers and therapists at school have also commented on his growth. We hope to return in the summer and/or after/when his ABA hours per week lessen and/or end. Thank you so much everyone, especially Ms. Michelle and Ms. Emily, for helping my son succeed!!
********************************************************************
Before we came to CDC, we honestly did not believe I***** needed speech therapy! However, he has improved his conversation and comprehension skills so much in the past year! I***** loves Zaira, and always looks forward to coming to speech therapy. Zaira has also been a great support to me as a parent. She has given me many great recommendations and resources.
********************************************************************
My son started going to CDC when he was 5 years old and diagnosed Autistic and non-verbal. Within about 3 months of speech therapy he started talking. I love how caring everyone is here at CDC. I am so glad I got him into CDC and I am very sad to leave.
********************************************************************
The time my daughter has been here, I have been very impressed with all the ladies. They gave me so much insight. My daughter was always excited to come here for her therapy sessions.
********************************************************************
Both of our children have made tremendous progress with their OT/PT goals at the CDC. Their therapists have been very responsive to any concerns or issues. The front desk is very easy to work with.
********************************************************************
I really appreciate everything that everyone here at the CDC has done for my son. He has come a long way with his speech and that’s because of the work he has been doing here.
********************************************************************
I’m A**’s dad. I want to express how proud I am of her and her progression. I am in the military and was stationed in Korea for a year. Sher had a difficult time dealing with me being away. She had missed me and began disassociating from other kids and having frequent emotional outburst. She was authorized to see a psychologist and speech therapy. Upon my return home, her behavior has greatly improved. However, she still had work to do in regards to her speech. Since enrolling with the institution, she has greatly improved and is communicating well with other kids at her school.
********************************************************************
We have been coming to the CDC for 13 years. My daughter came for eating troubles and began getting the help she needed. We then were evaluated and began physical therapy as well as occupational therapy along with Feeding therapy. L******* has many disabilities that she has overcome with the help of the Child Development Center. My daughter was very shy when she started and has grown into a beautiful teenager. I say thank you to all the staff at the CDC for the great work they do!
********************************************************************
J*** has really improved his ability to self-regulate since he started OT. His sensory-seeking and sensory-avoidance has been less severe. He is still very attached to routines and struggles with flexibility, but he is less rigid than he used to be. Working with Marisa and now Kim has been very helpful. J*** has benefited enormously and we are so grateful! All the staff we have encountered and observed here have been professional, respectful, and above all genuine. Thank you for making an impact in my child’s life.
********************************************************************
Ms. Jamie was so wonderful to A***! She made A*** feel safe and comfortable from day one. She gave clear directions for homework. She listened to my (mom’s) concerns and always addressed them in therapy and clearly with me.We had a very positive experience and this is where we would come should we need to come back!
Thank you
********************************************************************
J**** was referred to the clinic due to concerns that he wasn’t communicating or making any efforts to learn how. After the first session, he began communication through sign language. Each week he learned something new. We saw his confidence build and the sign language soon turned into words. Those words quickly turned into short sentences/statements. He continues to improve his communication skills every day. It has been an amazing process to see and be part of. I thoroughly believe we would not have been able to get Jacob to the level he is without the CDC. I truly appreciate the time Emily took to, not only work with J****, but give my wife and I tips on how we could help
********************************************************************
My son saw Ashley for almost 14 months for his torticollis and muscle tightness. She understood him and was able to meet his needs both emotionally and physically. I would recommend the CDC and Ashely for PT.
********************************************************************
W***** has been coming here for OT since 2015/2016 and the progress he has made with his dial routines and his struggles has been very noticeable and great! His two therapists, Ms. Becky and Ms. Kali have been so good to him and I can only hope to find a place like this in our new town. Thanks for everything the therapists and staff has done for W***** and out family.
********************************************************************
We loved it here. The staff is wonderful, very helpful, and very kind. Jenn is an amazing therapist. She is always so sweet and very patient with my son. She has helped so much and gave us “homework” to help with his therapy. We honestly would have been lost without her. Thank you all so much for everything, ya’ll are amazing people
********************************************************************
I really enjoy all the staff here. Everyone is very welcoming and understanding. We love Ms. Michelle; she has helped my son learn to understand his struggles and how to work around them to help with school and at home. This place has done wonders for both of my children. I have seen a lot of improvements over the 2 years.
********************************************************************
Ms. Emily was absolutely amazing! From start to finish she was able to explain everything to eliminate the worry factor. My daughter and myself are so thankful to have been paired with Ms. Emily. The front desk staff was very helpful in working around my last minute schedule. Thank you so very much for everything!!!
********************************************************************
Words cannot express the thanks that my family has for each and every therapist that has been a part of my child’s life for the last year. My daughter loves to go to “school”. They make learning fun and she is always excited to return every week. The changes they have made in my daughter’s life have been significant. Her speech, dexterity and strength have been increased 10 fold. We will be back soon.
********************************************************************
It’s been over 5 years and my three boys (D’A*****, D####, and D@@@@ S******) have been a part of the Child Development Center taking Occupational and Speech therapy. All the therapists have been amazing! It has been a great experience, we love the place and the therapists, and front desk, they are always professional. Thank you for helping my kids to be successful! Thank you Mrs. Lisa, Miss Jenn, Mrs. Cathy, Mrs. Renee, and Mrs. Tanya.
********************************************************************
We’ve been coming to the CDC for almost 3 years and the changes we have seen in our daughter in that time have been invaluable. We’ve seen her go from barely verbal to full conversations and just completely blossom socially. She’s made connections with every single one of her therapists and this has been key in her progress. The therapists and staff at the Child Development Center truly care about all of the children they work with and I couldn’t give a better recommendation to anyone. Thank you CDC, you have truly made a difference in my daughter’s life.
********************************************************************
Our six year old, son P****, began a speech therapy program provided through the Child Development Center with Miss Jenn. P**** loved and thoroughly enjoyed his weekly “playtime” with Miss Jenn. His speech development and progress has been profound! Thank you, Child Development Center and Miss Jenn, for your lasting investment in P****’s growth and well-being – it will last a lifetime.
********************************************************************
The facility is clean and well run for the building you guys have. Michelle, as well as her replacement while on pregnancy leave [Kim], were extremely helpful during A******’s time of new development and learning. We also appreciate their discretion when it came to dealing with difficult experiences for A******. The only constructive criticism I can come up with currently is maybe having the therapists fully explain what and how occupational therapy and the exercises suggested help your child. I started to understand things as we went along, but was a little confused at first.

Thanks so much for all your time and attention. My son has been seen here for just over a year now and the strides he has been able to make have been amazing. We’ve seen improvement in everything from gross and fine motor skills to social skills. He has learned to tie his shoes and conquered his fear of water. When we first started coming, I though this might be a waste of time (and we drive two hours round trip to get here), but it has proven to be worth the trip. Miss Sara was amazing as an OT, but I think my son grew to love her as a friend who he will dearly miss. We leave here grateful for the help we received.
********************************************************************
Karen was phenomenal! So helpful and kind. She really worked so well with I**. He loved coming to OT. Thank you for helping him.
********************************************************************
Dear Tami, Banba, and Geoff,
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity and privilege to work at CDC. I want to express my deep appreciation to you and the staff, as my time here has allowed me to grow exponentially as a professional. Congratulations on 30 years in business.
Fondly, Erin
********************************************************************
We have had wonderful 2+ years here at CDC. E**’s speech has improved drastically and I feel more confident sending her to kindergarten next week. I am very grateful for the time here and how much fun E** had here as well
********************************************************************
E**** has grown so much this past year. Her self-confidence has been raising and raising over the past year. We are so thankful for the staff, and all the effort that has gone into helping E**** reach her full potential. She developed such a great bond with her OT, Sara. Even though she is sad to graduate, as her parents we are very proud of her! We will miss seeing all the staff and families that come on Fridays. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are so grateful!
********************************************************************
D**** has been receiving PT, OT and Speech here at the Child Development Center since he was 2.5 years old. The CDC has become like family to us over the years. D**** has made huge improvements and loves all of the therapists he works with. We are so, so thankful for the CDC, thank you for all that you have done for D****!!!
D**** J**** & Family
********************************************************************
N**** and I had the best time here. Everyone is so sweet and kind and understanding. I have more than one child coming here, and they work great with kids. I would and will recommend people to bring their children here. They will have a wonderful experience. Thank you so much for being so wonderful and awesome.

We are so grateful for the love and care G**** received while attending the CDC. He adores Ms. Lisa and looked forward to Thursday mornings with her. G**** has made improvements since attending the CDC and we are so grateful for the progress he has made. Also all the staff at CDC has been amazing and we are so grateful for this experience. We highly recommend CDC to everyone – they are extremely caring and compassionate!
********************************************************************
We cannot recommend CDC enough. The office staff and the therapists are great to work with. Miss Michelle for OT and Miss Oren for PT have made all the difference for our little guy. He is a completely different child than when he started. They were so amazing at identifying every specific need for him and applied such great programs to help accomplish his goals. We are so proud of the work E***** has done. E***** will miss Miss Michelle and Miss Oren dearly. We thank them for taking such a time and interest in E***** and helping him along the way when all of this was so brand new to us! Thank you!
–The H**** Family
********************************************************************
Our child made great progress while going here. I highly recommend Lisa and Marisa for food therapy and OT. They are both so kind and patient to my child and me as well. I had a lot of anxiety starting here after having a bad experience at our last feeding clinic. Lisa was so patient and I immediately saw we were in a great place. I really want to compliment them on how great they are with a very strong willed child. She loves coming here!
********************************************************************
We have been blessed by your care and services. Thank you for your time and attention to A**’* therapy.
********************************************************************
Karen was phenomenal! So helpful and kind. She really worked so well with I**. He loved coming to OT. Thank you for helping him.
********************************************************************
We are moving to Spokane, WA. We will miss his therapists and the relationship we’ve made here at CDC. He has progressed during our time being a client and our hopes are to find another facility like the CDC.
********************************************************************
A*** has done a great job under Ashley’s care. After starting therapy he stayed on his own developmental timeline an was given just enough push so he could discover skills for himself. He will miss coming here and Miss Ashley a lot
********************************************************************
I cannot say enough about how much we loved Sarah! She is an amazing therapist. She loved I***** for who he is and helped him be confident in what he can do. We are so thankful for her love and encouragement. As a whole, CDC has been amazing!
Thank you!
********************************************************************
Tami, Banba & Geoff –
I don’t even know where to begin to express my gratitude for each of you and for all you have created here at CDC. I truly could not have asked for a better experience over the last few years! You have built something amazing here that was not just a job for me, but a family and a home. I will be forever thankful for each and every person I’ve met and for all the irreplaceable experience I have gained. This decision has weighed heavily on my heart because I know it will be tough to find a place I love as much as CDC. I hope we can stay in touch and I want you to know if there is ever anything I can do for you or the clinic please don’t hesitate to ask! Wishing each of you and all of CDC nothing but the best, along with a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2018! Thank you so much again for everything!
Love,
A***

We have had a great experience at the CDC of Colorado Springs. Our child has shown tremendous improvement over the course of three years. She was always excited to attend the weekly therapy sessions and enjoyed her interaction with her three therapists. Thank you for all the great work. It has truly been a pleasure.

My daughter always enjoyed her PT sessions at the Child Development Center. They always work with your schedule and find the perfect person to work with your child. Ms. Ashley was always very excited to work with K****** and encouraged K****** to work hard.
********************************************************************
I had such a hard time understanding what my son was saying at times. People who didn’t know him could not understand him. In only a year he improved so much that he was able to “graduate”! We will miss our weekly session with Ms. Jenn, she’s fantastic!

Both of my boys have been coming to CDC for almost 5 years and have really enjoyed it. We’ve had a wonderful experience with the therapists and staff and would recommend CDC to anyone.
********************************************************************
While my child has been going here she has been doing great in her fine motor areas, and we have noticed other areas S**** has improved in. Thank you for all you help and working with us.
********************************************************************
B****** attended the Child Development Center for almost three years on a weekly basis. He was seen for speech, OT, and PT. By the time the Army moved us after the 3 years, the CDC and its staff no longer were just his therapists, but they were more like family. We were so sad to leave. During out time there I watched as B****** grew and developed from a very timid, shy little guy to into a boy that knew his therapists well and would even try to get them to do what he wanted. I loved that they knew him and knew what would work. They wouldn’t allow him to control the session. He went from not running at all to almost a full run. From not being able to get dressed or undressed himself to doing it almost 100% independently. He worked adamantly on trying to master the “k” and “t” sound. These are just some of the examples of all the things he worked on during his time as a patient. The icing on the cake was the therapists were not the only ones that treated us so well, it was the front office staff and the billing department. With being TriCare, I needed constant up-to-date referrals for B****** and never once did these go uncurrent or run out of visits. If I ever was getting close to running out, the billing department was always on top of reminding me. Last but not least, the front office was always very welcoming. They not only did their job, but they also took a personal interest in my family as a whole. They made scheduling, canceling, changing appointments, etc. very easy. I loved their creativity with all their decorations and themes. They made the office very homey. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our time at the CDC!
******************************************************************
Dear Banba,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for all you have done for H***** and for being my “voice of reason” during all of her challenges. Throughout all of the ups and downs and all of the doctors and therapists along the way, you were the single person that we could not do without. You will always have a special place in our hearts.
Love,
M***, S******, & H***

E**** & E## had a great time coming to speech. E**** has been with Ms. Cathy since her first day. She has learned a lot from speech and has been really growing with it. E## has been very happy with Ms. Erin. She has developed a lot from coming to speech. Both of my girls started off in speech knowing a few words, but as time went on they were getting better. Renee’ & Lori are awesome. They have been nothing but polite since our first day. My girls learned a lot from speech therapy and enjoyed coming. E**** is going to miss Ms. Cathy since she loves her so much.
Thank you Ms. Cathy, Ms. Erin & Renee’

Been taking my oldest son now 14 years old to their wonderful therapists since he was nine years old, and his brother almost ten years old has gone to them since he has been quite young as well. Feel very blessed my kids are in such great hands and have made such progress with Child Development Center.
********************************************************************
I am very thankful to have been a part of the CDC family these last two years. R***** has progressed wonderfully under his therapists’ care. He has really come a long way. Everyone was always helpful and informative. When we had an issue with R*****’s referrals, Mr. Geoff helped me word an email to help Tricare clear up the issue. Scheduling was always convenient and flexible. I can honestly say I know more now about R*****’s diagnosis than I ever did before. The therapists have helped me narrow down his issues and focus on how to proceed from here. Thank you all so very much! You are a blessing in so many ways. R***** and I will miss all of you!

We first came to the CDC several months ago, when our daughter was about 19 months old and not putting two words together. She has met weekly with Alex for speech therapy and it is helping tremendously. Alex had not only helped E*** G**** during her sessions, but provided us with valuable resources as parents to encourage language growth at home. Now at 25 months, our daughter is regularly speaking in 3+ word sentences, using pronouns correctly and talking and singing non-stop on her own. We are so thankful for the wonderful professionals at CDC, Alex in particular, who has been a huge blessing to our family!
******************************************************************
Ms. Jenn and Ms. Becky have helped my son more than anyone we have seen in the past! He has grown and achieved so much beyond my expectation! C***** loves coming to therapy every week and when we aren’t here he talks about it constantly. He is so proud of himself and has confidence in his words. We are so sad to be leaving Ms. Jenn and Ms. Becky. No one will ever replace his love for his teachers!
******************************************************************
L*** came to Ms. Ashley struggling to stand up straight, a very turned in left foot and behind in mobility for his age. Ashley’s rapport with L*** immediately made him feel comfortable and excited to come to physical therapy. Attending physical therapy has been a highlight of his week and seeing his confidence build due to the work he has done in PT has been remarkable. He now will try new things at a park and instead of having a defeated attitude of “I can’t do it”; he is the first to try something physical and often say, “I can do it, I am so strong.” It has been such a joy to work with Ashley and she will forever be a part of L***’s story. We also have been so incredibly pleased and impressed with the CDC in their care, communication and professionalism.

Hello Ms. Jenny & Ms. Lisa
I’m writing to let you know some things have come up and we just can’t afford to bring I** up to therapy, 218 miles round trip, every week. We’ve decided to discontinue therapy at the Child Development Center for now. He’ll stay in school all day on Fridays now and get additional speech and OT through the school district. This has been an extremely hard decision for us to make. I** has excelled with you as his therapists! We will forever be grateful for all the time and effort you put in to help I** on his journey! He has come a long way in the time you’ve been working with him! We will miss you a great deal and our Friday’s won’t be the same without you! Every single person we have had contact with at the development center has impacted our lives in such a positive manner and we have learned so much from all of you! You’ve helped us realize having a child with special needs is truly a gift and you helped us through the very difficult time of the initial diagnosis.
A huge thank you for the bottom of our hearts! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

C**** is the youngest of six girls, and while I know all children are different, we came to CDC because I was looking for tools to make our lives easier. We had spent the last 6 years trying to wear C**** out every day ~ and frankly, I was worn out.
Mary Beth answered all of my questions and helped me learn how to help C**** be regulated. She let me sit in on all of C**** ’s OT sessions and taught me what she was doing, asked me questions, and valued my input. We made a great team as we explored C**** ’s weaknesses and strengths, what worked and what didn’t work.
Our goals were met in only a few months because of Mary Bet and her work with C**** ~ our lives are easier, and C**** is more often than not regulated. (Big Difference!)

Thanks to all of C**********’s therapists. He can communicate better with us. He has grown in so many ways from a 13 month old who couldn’t hold a spoon or want to eat to wanting to eat with a spoon and a fork. Also his self-confidence has improved just by the way he behaves. Thank you for all your hard work, for giving us helpful tips in helping our grandson’s growth.
********************************************************************
Thanks to Amber’s patience and hard work it didn’t take long for C***** to catch up speaking. He is trying so much more now to talk. It is awesome to see that progress and I hope I can keep it up. I’m glad this service is available and I will defiantly recommend your organization and Amber.
Thanks!!

CDC has been a wonderful experience for my children with Down Syndrome, Autism and Pervasive Developmental Mood Disorder. My children always looked forward to Tuesday afternoons because they knew it was therapy day. The therapists have always made their “work” fun. They have learned so many tools to take with them to use at our next move. I’m sad to say goodbye to all of the nice staff and therapist at CDC. Each time I checked in the ladies at the front desk always greeted us with a hello and how are you. They truly care about their clients. They have met my expectations in every area of concern for my children.

I’ve been trying to get speech therapy for my daughter for 3 years. The school teachers kept telling me her speech was “normal” for her age but I disagreed. My pediatrician suggested that I try Child Development Center. I’m so impressed with the progress Amber has made with my daughter. Over these past few months, my daughter has improved her speech, self corrects when it doesn’t sound right and speaks so much clearer. I’m so thankful for Amber and the progress we have made! Thank You!

The CDC is very family oriented! They take such good care of their patients. My son LOVES to go back for all his sessions because they make all the exercises and activities so engaging and fun! I love that parents can go back and be involved in the sessions. Whenever, I have stressed a concern, my sons therapists listened to my concerns, worked on it during the sessions and offered suggestions for the home as well. We love that they offer fun adaptive activities outside the clinic setting, like, Jitterbugs dance, skating, rock climbing and more.

K********’s experience at CDC has been wonderful. Ms. Jenny and Ms. Susan were both delightful teachers and K******* enjoyed every minute of her time here. She is glad that she “graduated”, but she is very disappointed that she doesn’t get to come back! Thank you for all you did for K*******!
********************************************************************
All of the therapists at CDC have been wonderful and supportive. They kept J***** on her toes and made her work. As a working mom, I appreciated that! We will be returning once my daughter has her surgery for the left leg. Ashley is wonderful!
********************************************************************
N*** has been seeing the CDC for a while and we both love it. They really help her with her speech and some had writing along with giving her confidence and friendship. They have also been helping her with putting words and sentences in order. N*** is doing great with her memory skills. N*** will continue speech when we move back to Texas. Our family thanks the Child Development Center for all that they have done for our daughter.

In the few months since my son started at the CDC, we have noticed a tremendous difference in his speech. Not only can we finally understand what he is telling us, but he is happier because he is no longer upset that we couldn’t understand him. Even our friends, family and strangers can understand him. I am forever grateful for the CDC, specifically Ms. Alex! Without her, I am not sure he would have gotten to where he is now. Thank you, Ms. Alex for helping my son reach his full potential!
********************************************************************
The Child Development center is a really great establishment, as soon as you walk in the doors you feel welcome.
It can be very hectic at times but I have never felt like anyone has judged me or my children and I believe that is the best feeling in the world, when your child has a disability.
Also, I would like to give a big Thank You to Ms. Alex; I do not think that Ariyana could have been paired with anyone better. You did an amazing job. And due to that Ariyana is talking much better. Thank you all so much!
********************************************************************
N***** started her therapy here at CDC three years ago and I could say that she had gone a long way. When she first started here she was a shy little girl. But after three years she has blossomed and learned so many things. Her therapists really did a tremendous job in helping N***** with her challenges. All of her therapists from previous to present are all wonderful to her. We will truly miss this center and our family would like to thank all the staff of CDC and all her therapists for all the help you have extended to N*****.

When we started, L**** was only grunting and could barely grasp a fork. Three years later L**** can feed and dress himself, use scissors, write his name, and his speech has drastically improved. He verbalizes sounds, numerous words, and uses sign language as a supplement. The staff here kept us going when we felt Autism had drained all hope from our lives. We feel equipped to face his uniqueness without fear and with new skills to continue his growth. His most recent therapists, Deborah and Lisa really saw us through a tough deployment and Lucas just blossomed under their care. We are sorry to have to move away, but we will remain forever grateful for all the blessings CDC has given our family.
********************************************************************
Do you know that feeling you get when you come home? Everyone is glad to see you from the moment you walk in the door? Well that is what it is like when your child receives services from the Child Development Center of Colorado Springs (CDC). Everyone is glad to see you and regardless if your child works with a certain therapist or not, you will always receive a smile.
We have been going to CDC on and off for a few years. Through our time there my son has learned to walk, his hands have been strengthened, and his speech has been accelerated. The therapists he worked with were always giving me ideas and information so we could continue to support him with care at home. If I ever had a question they took the time to answer it. If they were unsure of an answer they took the time to research it. Sometimes I even received a call at home to follow up on how my son was doing.
In a day and age where customer service tends to go out the door and people tend to be looking out for number one it was nice to go to a place where my child’s needs were put above all. If your child is in need of services and you are scared, overwhelmed and not sure where to go – the CDC is your answer. They will walk you through every single step in order to insure that your child has the most successful life possible for him/her.

Mahlia has loved coming to Physical Therapy. Everyone is so friendly, she feels right at home. Our family has appreciated all that Miss Oren has done to help Mahlia. The exercises she suggested we do at home are simple yet effective. We truly hope wherever we end up next that Mahlia has the same positive experience.
Thank you for everything!

We have been coming to the Child Development Center for speech therapy for over a year and couldn’t be happier. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere happy. Our speech teacher Miss Leanne has been exceptional and my son had grown immensely with her help. We would recommend the CDC to anyone needing services they provide.

We will continue to work together to be successful.Thank you so much……. You’ve been a blessing to our family.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to the Child Development Center staff and therapists. My son has been receiving therapy for almost 2 years. I have loved this place since the first day we walked in for our evaluation. Everyone is so kind, and you can tell they all love children and love helping them succeed in everything they do. Jace has come such a long way since beginning Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. His therapists, Lisa and Emily are the best. They know exactly what to do and how to do it in order to make him feel comfortable and successful. Once you start coming here for therapy, you become part of the CDC family, you are not a “number”, not a “patient “you are family. We are truly going to miss all of you! Thank you for ALL you have done for my son and my family.

I felt that my son was loved and cared for during his therapies. The staff made it fun for my son to come to therapy. He looked forward to playing, even though it was hard work for him. The CDC is not a cold office; it is a family. Even therapists who did not have my son cared about him and me. I felt like all of him was cared for, not just the delayed portion.
********************************************************************
My son has been coming here since he was 2. We started out with Speech Therapy and over the last 6 years we have had Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapy. I could have not asked for better people to help my son with his issues. Everyone here has made this a great 6 years. We will never find a better place to take my son. I am so happy with all the therapists that have worked with him but also to the entire staff. Everyone made us feel welcome and always made us feel like part of the family. We are going to miss every single person here and will always be thankful for what they have done for my son!

When we first brought our son, Luke, to the CDC we were uncertain of his diagnosis and what his treatment would be. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was friendly and willing to work with our schedule. We started Luke with speech and within a few months added Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. We have been pleased with all three therapies and their willingness to work as a team and with us to ensure Luke receives the best care possible. If an issue would arise I felt comfortable approaching the therapist and they were willing to fix and resolve the issue. They are so great to keep you updated on his progress and ideas to give you to work on at home. Words honestly cannot describe the amount of gratitude that we have for each of the therapists and staff that have worked with our son over the past 2 years. Luke is excited every week to go to therapy. We will miss the CDC!!!!!

My son, Armand started coming to the CDC four years ago. Since then, he has improved his speech (therapy) and occupational (therapy). Miss Lisa and Miss Deborah are the greatest. They both have made Armand feel right at home with them. They have given Armand more confidence at school and at home. I only hope we can find another place in Texas! Thanks to all the staff for answering all of our questions and concerns. We’ll miss you all!

CDC/Sam has been wonderful with my daughter. They have learned everything they can about my daughter’s condition and they went out of their way to make sure she received the best care needed possible! Sam went to a doctor appointment to make sure they understood what she was seeing in McKenzie’s joints and explained everything so it just wasn’t coming from me (the parent). We will miss CDC/Sam very much! McKenzie has improved so much in the short time here.

After a year of Speech Therapy with Amber, Connor has begun kindergarten. He is now speaking more clearly. I just found out that the SPED team is taking Connor out of the class to join in the weekly circle group with the other special needs students, who are non-verbal. They use Connor as an example to his peers, so they can hear a peer speaking!

Banba,
I have been thinking about all the people who have blessed my life over the years and I keep coming back to how grateful I am for all the services you have given to my kids, especially Summer. It is so comforting to have a source to go to with my questions and concerns. I feel like you know her so well and help me to understand her needs and the best way to meet them. It is amazing to see how far she has come. She wouldn’t be where she is without you.
If you are ever having those times where you are wondering if you make a difference, know that you definitely have done a world of good for our family!
Sincerely,
Amy

The Staff was friendly and easy to work with compared to the last place we went for therapy. They explained things in a way that I could understand and were ready to answer my questions. I could tell that they really cared about my child and that made him excited to go there. Peter learned a lot from the sessions and was engaged in the activities done there. I would definitely recommend Child Development Center to my friends and anyone else.

My daughter has been receiving treatment at Child Development Center (CDC) for just over 2 years. She began physical therapy (PT) at 6 months old, before she even had a diagnosis. She began occupational therapy (OT) & speech therapy (ST) around 8 months. When she first started at CDC, she didn’t have the muscle tone to even roll over and had just mastered raising her hand. Her therapists worked with her and showed me at home exercises and massage techniques to help her muscles relax. Her ST started with feeding therapy to help her texture issues and quickly moved to words. During our time here my husband was deployed for 12 months and I still had so many questions and “what if’s” regarding what our daughter would someday be able to do. The therapists and staff were always encouraging. Never telling me she “might” be able to do this or that but always encouraging and reassuring me that she absolutely would accomplish it all; just at her own pace.More than just therapists and employees, the CDC staff are also cheerleaders for my child and me.
We will miss y’all terribly! Washington has some HUGE shoes to fill!

Seth was diagnosed with autism at 2 ½ years old. When we first came to the CDC, Seth was only using a few words (none of which were conversational). It has been a long year, but Meghan and Kirsten have been very patient and worked extremely hard getting him to make request and labeling items. I have no doubt in my mind that all of our progress is because of them. We are very sad to be leaving this wonderful place. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for ST, OT, or PT.
Thank you so much for everything you have done for us!! We will miss you all, front desk, finance, and therapists.

Kaylynn has benefitted tons from her PT, OT, and Speech! She started at CDC when she was 12 months old and wasn’t able to do anything. She would just lie down on the floor. She started crawling after 3-4 months of PT and started pulling to stand after 6 months. Now she is 3 and is walking great, bending over and close to standing without help. She started OT when she was 2 and is improving so much in being able to pay attention to what she is doing (at times). She plays with toys instead of just chewing or banging them. In Speech she started when she was 2 as well, I have noticed she makes many more sounds than before. She is much more verbal. I love, love her therapy team they are so great! I couldn’t imagine where Kaylynn would be with her development without CDC.

When we first came in 2 ½ years ago, I was the only person who could routinely understand Alex, and his hand strength and control were s far below average that he couldn’t do most of the things appropriate for his age-level. Over the past 2 ½ years we have seen continuous improvements and now, Alex is clearly communicating, correcting himself when he says something incorrectly, and his writing/hand strength and control are no longer an issue! We are so grateful for all the help the CDC has given us!
********************************************************************
When Mirissa started at CDC 6 months ago she could not even sit up by herself. After working with Kari P. she can now, not only sit up, but she crawls and is even learning to stand so that she can walk. When she was born with Spina Bifida I was told that would never happen. Everyone I have come in contact with at CDC is super nice and always helpful. CDC has truly made a positive impact with my family and Mirissa’s situation.

We are in the military and due to the nature of a military career, we have moved 3 times in 4 years. Upon arriving to Colorado Springs, we were anxious to get my son back into Speech Therapy, but we also had other concerns about him. The staff at the Child Development Center listened to my concerns and offered to do an evaluation. The level of professionalism and care really made my son fall in love with his teachers (therapists). He wants to go to therapy- which is amazing! He has made so much progress thanks to the staff at the Child Development Center. I really enjoy the “warm” feeling from my son’s teachers (therapists) when they have to take him back for therapy. I would recommend this facility to anybody in the Colorado Springs area.

“COMPASSIONATE, friendly, AND they know what they’re doing to help children…which helps the families. Child Development Center really does make a BIG difference.”
********************************************************************
Deborah has made such an impact in my son in such a short time period! She recognized and addressed immediately and issue with the muscles of the jaw and face and also the tongue that was truly inhibiting Kody from making adequate progress in speech. He loves the new therapy and it has made such a difference in the sounds he is able to produce and his intelligibility. It has boosted his confidence and he is doing wonderful! You could not ask for better speech therapists than Deborah!! She has changed our lives. She is professional, kind and patient. We will greatly miss her and all she has brought to our lives.

Since being in speech therapy with Mrs. Deborah the last few months, Syncere has shown improvement with more proactive speaking and more attentiveness when being spoken to. She shows great care and attention for him as an individual, and has even suggested other therapy options to assist with his attention and hyperactivity.

My name is Timothy and I am currently a junior in college. I began using Therapeutic Listening and Interactive Metronome (IM) Therapy at the Child Development Center of Colorado Springs during 11th grade. The application of these unique therapy programs has greatly changed my life, both within my relationships with family and friends and also within my daily interactions at school.
Although my hearing was excellent, my brain was unable to properly process sounds, especially in highly stimulating environments. Directions and questions did not resonate with me. This resulted in difficult situations especially at school. The staff at the Child Development Center of Colorado Springs was very helpful in introducing and implementing both Therapeutic Listening and Interactive Metronome.
I have personally used Therapeutic Listening on and off for the last four years. The results have been simply unbelievable. The noticeable effects have greatly improved my capability to interact with the world. Focus, ability to retain information, and increased energy levels have all increased substantially. The effects were dramatically seen within the very first listening sessions.
Interactive Metronome produced more subtle results. Increased levels of concentration within a scholastic setting have produced more efficient use of study time. This, in conjunction with Therapeutic Listening greatly enhances the ability to study, both alone and with study groups. I would highly recommend either or both therapy programs through the Child Development Center of Colorado Springs. These programs have gone beyond enhancing my life. The ability to have a controlled level of high energy, increased levels of focus, general awareness, and concentration beyond short durations within highly stimulating environments may be readily taken for granted by most. For most who cannot take such valuable factors for granted, there are such programs as Therapeutic Listening and Interactive Metronome.
Thank you, Tami!

Aiden began seeing Miss Deborah in November/December of 2012. In the short time he has been working with her, his language has exploded. He is more social with other kids and is able to communicate with myself and his father exceptionally well. He is much happier now that he is able to communicate with us when things are bothering him. Aiden has taken a profound liking to Miss Deborah. He asks for her on lmost a daily basis and wants to play with her all the time. He is very excited on Tuesdays when we do go to the CDC for his standing appointment. I am very grateful for Miss Deborah and her approach to working with Aiden.

Our experience here at the Child Development Center has been great! Ms. Deborah was a perfect fit for Giovanni. When he first started with her, I was able to see how she interacted with him and knew that Ms. Deborah was exactly what Giovanni needed. I am sad to be leaving here; our next Speech Therapist will have big shoes to fill!

Claire has been a Physical Therapy patient here for about a year now. She’s been seeing Miss Lindsey for quite some time. While our concerns for Claire are minor on the scale, they still are worth addressing. And it has been so comforting to know that Claire’s Physical Therapy needs are her therapist’s priority during each session. Miss Lindsey is in tune with Claire. She challenges Claire while giving her the tools and support she needs to accomplish her Physical Therapy goals. As Claire’s mom, I have seen things over her 4½ years that others never saw. When Lindsey approached me concerning seeing some of those things in Claire, I knew she cared and was paying attention. I am so grateful. She pushes Claire through her fears, doesn’t accept “I can’t” because she knows Claire can. I am so grateful to Lindsey for her commitment to her profession and to her patients. Thank you.

Several months ago, my wife and I noticed a significant delay in our son’s complex motor skills, namely his lack of ability to crawl and/or walk at 12+ months of age.
Based on a consultation with our son’s pediatrician, we were referred to the Child Development Center.
What was initially apprehension and fear of the unknown was quickly turned to a sense of peace and trust as soon as we walked in the door. The front desk staff, that day and each time since, gracious, cheerful, and very welcoming, which is not always the case in a busy environment. They also worked hard in obtaining the proper insurance coverage and made sure we were always educated on any changes in our coverage in a timely manner.
Our son’s physical therapist, Krissie, has no equal in our eyes. At the onset of our son’s treatment program he, of course, was fussy and sometimes uncooperative; however, Krissie was always so patient with him working through the needed exercises. Without her patience and expertise son’s progress would not have been as rapid or maybe even successful at all (to the degree it has been).
Furthermore, Krissie always explained everything she was taking our son through in early layman’s terms so we could easily grasp the concepts and work on them with him at home. It is obvious to us that Krissie has a special calling to do what she does and we feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have her work with our son.
My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend the CDC to anyone who is dealing with a Physical Therapy issue with their children.

Luke
started here (Child Development Center)in January of 2010. He couldn’t hold a spoon, he just grunted, and had quit speaking all together.
Without therapy for Occupational and Speech Therapy, and this office, Luke wouldn’t have progressed. We didn’t know how and couldn’t comprehend where he was from the summer before speaking in full sentences. Luke now feeds himself, dresses and undresses himself, he is potty trained (except at night), not eloping as much, he is starting to play with toys to amuse himself, and he is eating a normal range of foods. He looks you right in the eye, and tries to say please. He is so much more interactive as he expresses personal preferences. This is new. We are so thankful, and cannot express it enough. Thank you.

To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to let you know what a difference the Child Development Center has had on my daughter’s life. Kaylyn has a form of Cerebral Palsy known as Spastic Diplegia. This affects mostly her legs, but all her muscles show the effects.
We moved to Colorado Springs in August 2000 and she began her therapy at the CDC in January 2001. Not only did she enjoy the therapists who worked with her, she really looked forward to her appointments and the work they did. She didn’t even consider it work when she was able to do her therapy in the pool.
Her quality of life was made infinitely better by the work done at the CDC. The entire staff is friendly and was more than willing to work with my appointment times and help me make sure that my insurance information was accurate and up to date.
We have since moved to Virginia and miss the CDC with all of the benefits they have to offer. If we ever move back to the Springs, I will certainly use their services again. I recommend the Child Development Center for anyone’s child that could benefit from rehab services.
Thank you for everything,
Jane

Matthew started Speech Therapy with Miss Julie this summer. Prior to Miss Julie’s guidance, Matthew truly couldn’t communicate and was always so frustrated. Our family has been in such amazement at how far Matthew has come. We can now have conversations with Matthew and understand about 95% of the time! Sometimes we are caught off guard by how he speaks so well that we have mistaken him for our 6-year-old son! Our Matthew also LOVES Miss Julie and can’t wait to see her every Tuesday. On the car ride over he constantly asks, “Are we there yet?” I think the genuine care and love that is given and shown to our Matthew is an amazing gift! Thank you so much!

I would like to say how grateful and wonderful we are to have therapist Barbara to work with my son. I would recommend her as an outstanding therapist who knows her profession and how well she and my son connect. That was a huge blessing to finally have someone like her, who my son and I have finally found, that was able to understand my son. I have seen a tremendous change in his behavior when he goes to therapy and works with her.
