What is CranioSacral Therapy?
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, light touch manual therapy, hands on treatment method that focuses on alleviating restrictions to the physiological CranioSacral system – the membranes and fluid that surround the brain and spinal cord. CranioSacral Therapists also focuses on normalizing abnormal tensions and stresses to the meningeal membrane.
The CranioSacral system impacts the central nervous system. The most powerful effects of CranioSacral Therapy are considered to influence the function of the central nervous system, the immune system, the endocrine system, and the visceral organs via the autonomic nervous system. CranioSacral treatment helps reduce restrictions and imbalances that can cause a number of sensory motor and neurological functions. Treatment encourages and enhances the body’s own self-healing and self-regulating capabilities. The CranioSacral treatment can assist in reducing and correcting accumulated stress within the CranioSacral system.

Our son has received CranioSacral therapy with Banba to address his head shape and an a-symmetry of the face. We could not be happier with the results from session one. I saw visible improvements every time he had a session. He also seemed to enjoy his sessions and we really appreciated Banba’s caring demeanor. I couldn’t recommend it more to other families dealing with head shape challenges in their babies.

Since my son started receiving CranioSacral therapy we have seen progress in many areas. He is more vocal and more engaging. (Several of his teachers and therapists have also noted these changes.)
He is more open to playing with toys instead of just electronics, i.e. trucks, blocks and misc. “learning activities”. He is more cheerful and we are having more consistency with his bowels (which is a terrific by-product)! I can’t wait to see future developmental and physical progress!
